MOUNTAIN COTTAGE

erstellt von Paolo Zardo

Design of a mountain cottage with wood and steel structure, external cladding in local materials, high performance walls insulating material and off grid appliances.

The project was born from the idea to get wide views of the beautiful mountain’s landscape.
That’s why the bedrooms are lifted and higher than the living area.
Besides, the division between the sleeping area and bathroom on one side and the living area on the other, which includes a relaxation area with a bookcase, aims to create a welcoming and familiar interior environment, with warm materials and colors that open up to exceptional views of the surrounding landscape.
That's why large windows thermally insulated guarantee perfect protection in cold winter days and summer direct solar exposition. A combined heat and power system (CHP) and a set of solar panels on the roof allow an excellent energetic efficency.
The structure is provided with steel beams for the skeleton and self-supporting wood panels for the outer shell. Local materials are used fo the external cladding and the interior walls finish.

IMPORTANT NOTE: why this price?
Because it reflects the hours spent studying, researching, designing, rendering, and translating into images the main concept and mood in terms of the emotional perception of this project.
It is not a quick job, but one that requires many hours of commitment and effort.
All this to ensure that the building is first and foremost feasible, even from a technical point of view, and that it can meet the needs and tastes of those who purchase it.
The client's psychological and physical well-being (perception of the atmosphere, materials, spaces, light, the feeling of warmth and welcome both outside and inside, the degree of happiness, satisfaction, and personal fulfillment when observing the whole) is fundamental to the success of any architectural project.
Thank you for your understanding.

TRAUMBAU is a name taken from the German language and it means "dream building". Established in 2017 by Paolo Zardo, it is a hotbed of ideas and visions regarding Building Design, Design and Graphics, open to collaborations in various projects and contexts. "We make your dreams come true through our vision, our passion and experience." EXCELLENCE is nothing but the aim of our work. It is found under every single aspect of the project and it is lead by the love for the absolute beauty, the sublime, the research for a timeless design and that comfortable "feeling home" effect. QUALITY to the design process and the project is given, is planned and controlled with passion, enthusiasm, dedication together with an attentive eye to the details and the design solution improvement to create your ultimate idea. EVERY PROJECT IS UNIQUE and it is designed, planned and realized specifically for the client to guarantee a significant characterization and personality. The final design philosophy comes from basic parameters like the end user and its wishes, the surrounding’s suggestions, the historical time and the local cultural references. All of this, resulting in a combination between form, materials, technical solutions, colors and light. SUSTAINABILITY plays an absolute key role in the concepts and realizations and it is seen as a part that can not be separated from the project itself.
